I want to fit a steam room in my bathroom, apparently the one I want will only work off a mains pessure of 2.5 bars, I've seen pressure testers for sale that'll only work off the external tap or the washing machine point. Will this give me an accurate reading for the upper elevation? The reason I ask is that I know the water board are legally bound to provide you with water to the upper elevation of a good presure barring geographic diffiulties. there are no such difficuties at my house, the plumbing is all modern but what is the degree of variation if there is any?
A crude method of testing your pressure is to hold the palm of your hand under the tap, turn the tap on and if you cannot stop the water flowing with your hand it is above 2.5 bars.
