15 hours
*GAB* Bernardo. I am sorry about this, but it is actually 14 hours. As I type it is 1815 (GMT -4 until 31 Oct) in NY and 0815 next day (GMT +10 until 31 Oct) in Melbourne. See this site http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com/time-zone/usa/new-york/inde x.htm and this one http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com/time-zone/australia/victori a/index.htm
Oh yes so it is. That's because NY is on Summer Time at the moment.
Which means that in a month's time the answer will be 16 hours. GAB TTML
When they first standardised the time zones based on the Greenwich meridian, there was one proposal that there should be the same clock-time in the whole world, in which case it would not have mattered. TTML GAB OVS
