Now I'm just on the brink of being able to go back to work again, having been at home with the boys for the last 5 or so years! The littlest starts school in September and our 10th anniversary is that month too, so for me it's actually more like what will the NEXT ten years have in store.
I'd quite like to be a teacher - something that I wanted to do when I was a child and never did. Maybe it's time for that??!!
Gosh, 4get, now you've got me thinking....!

'Morning, 4get!
Ten years ago, I was just about to start at secondary school and meet my two best friends. Now, I'm just about to move in with them both, but I would never have imagined that happening back then. I was only 12, but I thought I wanted to be a vet all those years ago (I'm not!).
Saying that, when I was 5 I wanted to be have my own ice-cream van so when it doesn't always turn out how you thought it would, it's not always a bad thing! LOL! :o)

10 years ago i was pregnant with my second child and imagined that 10 years from then i would own my own house and have gone back to work and live happily ever after with my then fiance.
Not so much a fairy tale happened in the end, owned my home, got a good job, but not happily ever after with my then fiance, but you cant have it all can you.
Didnt think any of what happened woudl happen, but then i think its part of life,
If i look backabout 15 years when i was 13 i wanted to be an actress or in musicals as then i was a dancer and loved performing,,,,,, still deep down i still wish i could be!!!

10 years ago I had just had my heart broken by Mrs Booth, my maths teacher, who told me unless I knuckled down I'd never get the grades to be a vet, and how right she was! After that I didn't have any plans except that I would never become a secondary school teacher, now I am currently in the process of applying to do just that! So no, I can honestly say I'm not.
(When I was in infant school I used to think I would have 3 children when I was 16, 17 and 18, so that I didn't embarass my kids by being the oldest mum at the school. thank God that one didn't come into fruition!)

I'm 38 and never in a million years did my life turn out as I would have liked. No Kids, no husband (not even an ex-husband). For the last three years, other than work, I spend my time caring for my mother. (Cancer) Siblings feel that since no hubby, no kids, this is my physical/financial reasponsibility.
I never give my HS students those "Where do you see yourself in 5, 10, 20 yrs?" assignments. Too depressing when they ask me what I thought I'd be doing. (Work is as I'd hoped for.)
Sorry to be so morose, just a bad time. My mini-holiday was cancelled as not only did the family I was visiting have a med. emergency, but I was struggling to fing someone to stay with mom.
