Love at first sight.
20 Answers
Does anyone believe in this or have experienced it??
I cant imagine falling in love with someone when I first meet them or even after a very short amount of time.
Lust maybe but not love.

We have never got properly together but there is just this strangely intense emotion between us.
Ive had really good chemistry with one guy before but then after a few times of meeting him it sort of went away. I wouldnt have said it was love, we just had things in common and he was quite hot.
I just find it mad to think that after just meeting someone you can be in love.
Thrasher, do you know if she felt the same straight away?

I'm talking about more than just finding someone hot and having things in common. that happens in nightclubs and bars all over the world every day. i mean having that amazing chemistry with someone - that instand bond that is more than just 'i want to sleep with you'. The first time i met this guy i didn't particuarly like him and we had nothing much in common. it's just this feeling that this person is someone significant - almost like you've known them for ever and that you can tell what they are thinking. i think this is more the sort of emotion that people get and then describe it as 'love at first sight'. but it's an emotion that is different from love.
Yes, long story but I know Mags did. We talked about it.
We both wanted to do something about our feeliong for such a long time. Then one day we did (in a cupboard at work of all places) We were getting stock for upstairs and we somehow ended up standing within an inch of each other and something just sparked us off.
I wish I could explain better on here in writing but I just cant. It is just too hard to express the feeling, the emotion, the things we had in common, the things we picked up from each other and so much more.
even the silliest little things. We had a common interest in so much. We even thought at one point we had imagined our similar tastes in things and we set about to prove if it was just our minds going mad or if we really had a conection. We proved it! We really did. We proved we had so many common interests. Including some weird stuff (sexual and NON sexual) that i wont mention here.

If i found a rea love like that i would go to the ends of the earth to stay together. or was t just that ittle bit too intense? if you actually start to think about all the things that need to be there for two people to get together it's amazing people ever do. although so many people 'settle' rather than hang out for something decent.
lol, we did try at first. Sorry thought that would have been to obvious to mention. It just caused more strain.
We would take turns to fly back and forward but, it was just hectic. Her job took her around the world so it got even harder. We met up in lots of places but after a while it actually became a case of just meeting up for sex and then bye bye again.
I travelled to Canada to end up spending 3 hours in bed with her and another time for a quickie at her office. Plans had changed and there was no way of letting me know when I was on way over and by then it was too late.
Trust me, you think I am single by choice???

I met my husband in a really crap club -my best friend fell up a staircase and landed in front of him. Instead of laughing (like I did) he helped her to her feet, and at that I fell in love with him at first sight. The next day I said to my Mum "This is the guy I'm going to end up marrying." And I did. There is an instant connection made sometimes which ends up leading to something much more complex. I don't know if it's love but I felt pretty strongly that night.
Thrasher.....that's an incredibly honourable thing to do. If it's meant to be she'll come looking for you. Probably on Facebook.

I have done both and to no avail. I dated a really close friend of mine and it was fantastic. We dated for a long time and we got each other really well. We had so much common ground and we knew right away what each other was about. It was a remarkable feeling when you realize that you are in love with them and they are in love with you and you have just been looking at and not really seeing each other. We were talking late one night and then click... It was the best feeling. Thinking about it (and it was...4 years ago) makes me smile and feel giddy.
I have dated the random guy too, and fell hard and fast: although it was only a short summer relationship it was great- like we looked at each other at a party and thought "hmmm you'll do" and we were all over each other. I think that might have had more to do with availability but we were for sure in something with each other- be it love or just passion.
Both were great- but I am still looking for Mr Right. I hope to fall madly for him, but if he is already one of my friends that's just icing.
