First you need a CD writer (or DVD writer) on your PC.
Then you need a writeable CD or DVD
Then you need some software to write the files to CD or DVD.
Windows Media player can write to CD or DVD but I have never used it (there is an option called "burn" on the Windows Media Player menu).
Other programs are available to write to CD or DVD such as Nero or Roxio but you need to buy them.
Basically you put the writeable CD or DVD in the CD or DVD drive.
(Depending how your PC is set up it may autostart a window giving you options of what you can do with the CD or DVD).
From that window you can select Windows Media Player or whatever software you want to use (If you dont get that window then just open Windows Media Player or Nero or whatever).
Within the program say you want to create a DATA disc (your pictures go on the CD or DVD as data).
Within the program navigate to the directory where your pictures are stored, then select the pictures you want to put to CD or DVD. You can also select a folder and all the pictures in that folder will be written to disk.
Finally you have to press the "burn" button (the actual word on the button will vary from product to product, but it is like saying "go").
The burn will begin and eventually it wll say "burn complete" or something like that.
The first few times you do it it may go wrong so be prepared to "waste" a few CDs.
