If you was able to give a one off gift to someone, something you would not normally be able to afford such as a large amount of money or a house, who would you give it to, what would it be and why give it to that person and not someone else?

Just something to help keep you all out of trouble while I go for my nap ;)

good morning psychick, hope you are well

my gift would be to my Mum, the bungalow she has always dreamed of. Id do this for my mum because of all the things she's ever done for me ! simple!

also, i have a friend who i have promised to buy a cottage in the woods for if i ever win the lottery . I would do this because i want them to be happy because they are my friend, . again, simple! :-)
I'd buy my nan and grandad a house, they live in a rented house that came with the job when they worked; because they were made redundant 5 years ago the owner / employer said that instead of a redundancy pay off (they had worked there for over 100 years between them) they would let nan and grandad stay in the house rent free for as long as they needed it, which was kind of them.

The trouble is my grandad is now poorly, and the three bedroom house is a lot for my nan to look after on her own and my grandad cannot maintain the massive garden, they have single glazed window that shake in the wind and no central heating but they won't say anything to the owner because they see them as being good to them. I'd love to buy a cottage with roses round the door and plenty of mod cons like central heating, a fitted kitchen with a dishwasher and a small manageable garden :-)
I couldnt chose at all, so many of my friends need help with different things. I would love to give my friend who is a single parent lots of money or a house, but then again I would love to give back to my parents who have done such a good job of brining me and my siblings up.
i would give my friend a round the world trip
as she is always working night shifts
and has never been abroad
it would give her a well earned break
as when i need some one to talk to or moan at
she is always there for me
plus i will see her tonight as
she is off and i havnt seen her for a fortnight lots to talk about and moan at we have
a good chin wag then a meal then wont see her again for another fortnight
cheers to my best mate xxxxxxx
I would give my daughter a house with stables and a grandad annexe.

That way we could all live together and I could look after my Dad and my Dad would spend more time with my daughter. and my daughter would have the horses she has always wanted, and my Dad would help her as he knows about horses, cos he is clever he ie. so I guess it would be something for all of us.

Awww bless you all!

Even though I come from a large family, I think the one I would love to help out most is the oldest of my brothers and sisters. He has always been there for me the most through good times and bad and will always be there for me no matter what time of day or night it is. He even came round to me at 1am once when I needed him. He was also my babysitter when I went back to work after the birth of my daughter, and refused to let me give him anything for it.

He has had a tough time in life and has been registered as disabled ever since he was knocked off his motorbike in his 20's but he never grumbles about how his life could have been, he is just grateful for wht he has and makes the most it. So I would love to give him a bungalow and get him out of the dingy damp flat he has been stuck in for so many years.
Psychick, if I get the cottage for my nan I am sure she'd love to have your brother round for a Sunday roast (she does the best, and my grandad grows the veggies so it's all good!)

:-)

Sounds like a very good plan legend. He would benefit from you helping him but also from him helping himself :)
