To dump or not to dump?

What do you reckon:

Is it better to dump someone or to be dumped by someone? Dumper or dumpee? I've been on both sides and I can't decide which I prefer..

I prefer to dump! The worst way I was dumped was when I met a new friend who happened to know my boyfriend. When I told her he was my boyfrien she said "oh, he told me he dumped you" I guess it was payback though since my usual way of dumping a guy was to just quit answering his phone calls, quit going places I knew I would see him etc. After a few weeks hopefully he'd get the picture.
