Internet Explorer problems

I cannot seem to get onto Internet Explorer properly tonight. Everytime I click on it in the programmes menu it comes up, then disappears upwards until out of sight over the top of the screen and the only thing I can do is to click on the X in the top of the screen. When I try to click on favourites, there is nothing to click on. Also there is no browser bar at the bottom of the screen like there normally is. Is this just my computer or is anybody else having trouble?

It's just your PC.

It's time to run System Restore, to put your computer back to how it was before the problem arose.

I did a system restore and have not had any further problems.
The techies who see to our computers say that IE's unsafe anyway. Firefox is safer - despite any probs.
