Pop ups

How do I delete the popups on the google toolbar? I`ve got 32 bocked of them and rising. How can I find out what they are before I delete in case they`re useful, or should I? I also get a lot of sex e-mails which I find are tasteless and unwanted.TIA.

The best way to deal with spam is to use a combination of Mailwasher and 'disposable' e-mail accounts (with either Gawab, which is my own preference, or Gmail). See here for details:

The reason I don't use the Google toolbar is because (like most of the 'regulars' in AB's Technology section) I use Firefox instead of Internet Explorer. It's better designed, more flexible, faster and more secure than IE. It's got a Google search box (which can also be used with any other search engine of your choice) built into the address bar. It also includes a built-in pop-up blocker. When a pop-up is blocked, a small message bar appears. You can ignore it or, alternatively, choose what to do with pop-ups from that site. If you want to view the pop-up, simply choose to accept pop-ups from that site and click 'Refresh'.

Why not give Firefox a try? You can have both Firefox and Internet Explorer on your PC, so if you don't like Firefox you can simply switch back to Internet Explorer without any problems:
