1. You will be able to sustain an income (via yourself or a partner) during and after pregnancy.
2. You have had some kind of life after you left school. You have to get 'stuff' out of your system ie career, travelling, having some fun, whatever before kids come along otherwise you may always wish you had done.
Not many boxes to tick - I think fairly straightforward. Please don't get me wrong I know many mums who have done the exact opposite and are very glad they did. It's just me.
it's totally up to the individuals. I left Uni at 22, having been with my partner 4 years. We waited until we'd been together 13 years, and were in our early 30s before having our first child. For us, it allowed us time to grow up, do what we wanted, find decent jobs, buy a ncie house, ensure our relationship was rock solid, and just generally live a little (lot!) before settling down. Personnally, I wasn't ready for kids in my early 20s. I'm really happy we did it this way, because I will never regret not doing thigsn I wanted when I was younger and I feel no loss of freeedom now our wee guy is here. Of course I know others who have done it the other way round and that suits them fine too. I think you have to look at yourselves and your relationship and see what suits you both.
I probably feel the same as those people who get married at 30 and decide to have kids at 34 but they might not have felt ready earlier and wanted different things out of life in their 20's.
