Yep - it is an optional tax, and I opted not to pay it.

I can find other ways of dodging them......hence my hols!

I feel its because of the IR (yet to be proved, of course) who drove poor Foster to burn his property/horses/dogs!

It wasn't the IR - he owed lots of money to some very dodgy people. He was living well above his means, and when his creditors got him to court they found he had 'disposed' of his assets.
