Its interesting to see that Ben Freeman has been cleared of rape. For 2 years this man has not worked and has now been found not guilty. It doesnt seem right that because he was a well known actor that he has been unable to carry on working because of this alleged crime. The last 2 years must have been horrendous for him. I dont suppose it would have been newspaper headlines if he had been an ordinary Joe.

I have always believed that the accused should have the same anonimity given to the 'victim'. Only name them if found guilty. This girl has ruined his career and should be charge with wasting police time.

That assumes that he is is proven innocent and she is proven to be lying.

That is not the case at all - it simply means there was not enough evidence to find him guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

In these rape claims it is very difficult to prove conclusively - after all, only two people would know for sure and one is lying

Several years ago whilst on holiday on the Costa Del Sol a well known actor in Eastenders was staying in the same complex and the way some young girls were acting in his presence made me ashamed of my womanhood! I t was nothing short of cringeworthy and dare I say they were asking for it!!!

100% agree with Kathyan on this. It's a disgrace that the accused is named before being found guilty - mud sticks.

In fact - look at Michael Jackson. Never ever been found guilty of any crime, yet what's the first thing you think of when you hear his name? Bet it ain't 'Billy Jean'...
