I've just finished reading this, and I thought it was excellent. I liked The Kite Runner, but this, in my opinion, was better. Does anyone know if a film is in the pipeline?

Columbia Pictures owns the movie rights .but production has yet to begin; Steven Zaillian is currently writing a screenplay and is also to direct, Scott Rudin has signed on as a producer......according to Wiki .
It's one of the best books I have read for a long time .Brilliant .
I'm not a weeper over books as a rule but I found myself welling up a bit reading it :)
PS. Finished Up in the Air ........at last :)

I hope so. they did a damn good job with the kite runner, so maybe the same producers could do something equally as good with this?

Thanks Shaney. I shall look forward to that. I had a serious little weep at the end. Apart from the rest of it - absolutely heartbreaking - those final few words really hit the spot. What a book!

Hi Salla, I have to say that although I enjoyed the film of The Kite Runner, I was a little disappointed with it. I think the sub-titles spoilt it a bit.
