see smudge i would much rather see someone bend over and see a nice piece of artwork than that trend of girls having their thong sitting about 3 inches above there waist band showing it off, that i didnt like.

everyone seems to be so strong minded about this topic i dont understand it, theres so much emotion. having a tattoo is a personal choice,if you make the choice not to have one then why mock others who have? im sure that the people who were ever so vocal about " manly looking and tramp stamps " have something about their person or life that i as a tattoo collector would find not to my taste, as someone up there said ^^ its horses for courses. if we all looked alike and liked the same thing then the world would be truly monotonous.
yes these people that decided on a whim or a drunken night out to go get tattooed without taking time to think it through and make a detailed decision on the actual design and artist then yes of course they are going to regret it, its a life long commitment the time and effort should be out into it and if its not then surely they deserve the piece of crap they have tattooed on them.thats about people making bad decisions nothing to do witht he fact they have a tattoo.

and the age old arguement of yeah what will it look like when you are older.....i think i will be too worried about going senile and smelling of pee to worry about the tattoos and even then a true lover of body art will still be proud of their ink.

Its opinions and its an internet board that affects your life 0% defend your corner but don't take offence.

Dustinmyeye. The question asked if we thought tattoos were good looking on women. Nobody on here as mocked anybody. Yes I said I thought they were manly looking and made women look aggressive. That is my view. If I had said women that women with tattoos were manly and aggressive that would have been different.

I have short hair. Many people would find short hair quite manly on a woman - their view and fine.

I respect that we are all different and have different views - expressing them is not mocking.

And as Dave says he was quoting tattooists when he mentioned tramp stamps. He didn't say that women with tattoos are tramps.

Each to his own. I don't like tattoos on men or women (and absolutely hate them on older women) I don't think they are good looking or enhance people in any way.

There is no right or wrong answer.

Oh, yes - I think you're making more out of this than I am dustinmyeye & anyone else who doesn't like tattoos on women.

This is a Q's & A's site & if people ask for AB'ers views, then we have a right to voice them - but never in a mocking, rude, or patronising way - I leave that to some of the unwanted 'greenies'!

id class that as highly insulting actually , and theres loads of other comments that id say were more than merely an opinion on tattoo,s.

obviously i am in the " for " tattoos section but to say things like " they are very rarely done good" is just ignorance tbh.

i am merely giving my opinion now ladies and i didnt single either of you out for having an opinion. but dont ever disagree with me again because i am a manly violent less than intelligent lassie and i,ll hunt yous down and force a tattoo on you both ;)

Depends what and where they are really, some can look ok, though i personally dont like them as a whole.
