we all know the government have reduced taxes to try and get us spending and to compensate for this they will eventuall reinstate the 17.5% rate and maybe even increase it to cover the losses

instead of making the already stretched taxpayers foot the bill Labour or whoever is in charge or the country in 6months should have a total blitz on immigration, benefits and subsidised public services to try and reduce the countries tax bill and in turn make the country a better place to live

Danchip, I also know dozens of folk (not friends) who cheat the system and I am fed up paying for it,

Daniela your replies are a bit heavy handed !!! Benefit cheats are rife in this country whether you know it or not.
I know of a family that were cheating the benefits agency too weeal. They (couple with 4 kids) were on full income support and the hubby was getting incapacity benefit whilst illegally downloading and selling DVD films. They were making a lot of money but were really stupid about hiding their new found wealth. They would get new LCD TV's etc and then leave the empty box out for the dustbin men, they bought the kids all the latest gadgets and clothes and went on several holidays a year. When they were caught, they were prosecuted over the DVD's,had the benefits stopped (and were prosecuted for benefit fraud) and had all their computer equipment siezed :)
This is what I mean. If there are benefit fraudsters out there and you know who they are, then make sure they get caught! If everyone reported someone for mis-use of benefits instead of bleating about it on here, then things would be right for the ones that are genuine.
Putting aside the rights and wrongs of all the benefit cheats etc.

The best time to crack down on such things is not when unemployment is rising rapidly it's when it's falling.

With lots of companies going out of business and laying people off I doubt there are many employers having difficulties filling vacancies.

Might be a better idea to have a total blitz on the black economy and all the "cash-in-hand" jobs that aren't paying VAT and are competing with honest businesses that do!
theyre very clever daniela and its very hard to prove - and I for one would not want beaten up for grassing them up, im on my own
I think your rant is a bit racist, danchip. Are you a member of the BNP?
