LOL the things you remember

Someone at work reminded me of birds pecking the lids off milk bottles. I remember my mum leaving empty yoghurt pots for the milkman to place over the bottles to combat this.

I now have to tenuously turn this into a question.

What other things have you recently be reminded of from your childhood recently?

cider ice lollys from the ice cream van
drinking top deck shandy and pretending to be drunk
jackie magazine
vesta curry, smash , and angel delight and arctic roll were the hight of sophistication
my dad smelling of old spice
space dust and flying saucers
playing out ALL day
drought - collecting water from standpipes in the road
when they used to put "surprise" cartoons on inbetween tv programes, usually after the news and my dad would shout " quick !quick! tom and jerry are on"
renting our first colour tv ( from vision hire!!!) and it came with a free "pong " game - it was out of this world! lol
