I just wonder why smoking is now the most evil thing on the planet I would really like for all you non smokers to post a link for example.........Smoker rapes,smoker drives whilst having smoked 10 fags, smoker killed family on M40 whilst having 10 B & H in his blood stream. Surely this smoking ban is out of control.

To smoke or not, and to encourage and advise smokers to stop, usually creates a hoo ha on here.

I've always found Bob Newhart's little piece on smoking sums me up perfectly. Dead leaves, rolled in paper and set light to..... I never understood the desire to find out what it's like and so didn't.

I did nag my parents to stop smoking, which mum did. Dad carried on and the weed got him in the end. Now I nag my son.....

But each to their own. I'm 54 soon, expect to go on for another 25 - 30 years and hope, along the way, to inhale as little of other peoples smoke as possible.

I agree with you in a way puss_boots. We have friends who smoke, and I don't hide the ashtrays to prevent them from smoking. I think it's up to the individual. I personally don't like it, but I think the ban's got out of hand now. We inhale far more carcinogens from chem trails from aircraft, car fumes and so on.

My Dad died at 59 fom liiver cancer but my Nan and Grandad are still going strong. He use to smoke 80 a day but gave up when I was about 10.

Nobody smokes in OUR house,even now(Janurary) if they want to smoke they go outside,OR wait until they get into their car or get home!
