My friend recently bought a 50 inch telly and I bought his 42 inch one off him.

Is 50 inches the biggest telly you can get?

not quite as big

The bigger the screen, the worsde the picture I reckon. You also need a big open room for a huge TV, or it dominates the place and looks a bit silly.
hate mine mrs ice xxxxxxx
Wow that's a big telly! Ours is 29 inches or sometihng, cost a lot when we first got it as it was just when the big tellies were coming out. That was about 15 years ago and it's kind of breaking now :o(
exactly, ice. We bought new one recently, and the room we wanted it for is not that huge (12" x 13" ish?) so we got a 32". Mr D wanted 37" but I said it'd look be too big for cabinet. Got it home, and I thought hmmm, 37 would have been better. Oops. Mr D not happy. shame.
:-)
not a telly princess its a projector so it can go much bigger

I agree. We have the whopper in a room that's 22ft x 15ft, so it looks okay, but it'd look daft in a smaller room, I think.
Depends on what you prefer though, really. A friend of mine had one of the large ones - probs 50" - put on a wall. The room's only 14 ft. square, and it looks too much - but she likes it, so fair dues.
Hi Monty. x
same as you Mrs C.
42 inch in a large room, though Its still big enough to watch from the neighbours house lol
my daughter has a 42" and it looks ridiculous but she loves it. I think the best view of it is from the kitchen with the door open to the sitting room.
