What could you exchange them for?
I remember my dad collected green shield stamps and he used them to buy a chip pan.

This is lovely - can relate to so much

Remember the pink shield stamps but don't think they were as popular as the green ones - I always used to stick them in the book - my dad would never buy petrol unless the garage was offering quadreple stamps and I remember thinking we were always about to run out of petrol.
