someone i know reversed into my car a few weeks back, im getting a 2nd hand door sprayed ect, iv now emailed the person who did it saying i want some cash for the door... i was just wondering IF they turn around and say no, can i still go to my insurance and claim.... i got witnesses ect saying it was her fault.....

your insurance will wonder why you did not report it before. in the terms and conditions of my insurance it says i have to report accidents as soon as practiably possible

That would be a lesson learnt Pistonhead, when it comes to a claim by a friend or whoever, get it in writing.

You have no comeback. If you do try your insurance they may take action against you for failure to disclose information.
