I'm trying to loose weight and also have a digestion problem meaning I can't have cereals and milk or eggs. Any ideas on what I can have for breakfasts that is low in calories and quick to prepare?
Stop thinking of it as 'breakfast', and just think of it as a meal.
Have whatever you want.....a bowl of fruit and yogurt (if tolerated-are you sensitive to all milk products? ) ,cold meats and a bit of cheese.smoked fish, even a sandwich.
Be guided by what you like....don't feel that you need to eat 'traditional' breakfast foods.
toast, including toasted bagels, fruit loaf and french stick. croisants, muffins, toasted sandwiches, panini....
like pasta says, anything you fancy really, within the bounds of your dietry needs.
I'd go for oats too.If it is a gluten intolerance you get gluten free oats as well as gluten free cereals. As haysi says make with water and if you like things abit sweeter or you find them abit bland you can add fruit or honey.
As answer to crazycathy2 - all cereals aggravate my IBS.
To LucyThomas6 - it's "lose" (my spelling is XXXX)
ethandron - French stick, croisants, muffins etc are all high in fat!
fat and calories are two different things though, and you didn't actually mention 'low fat'. i don' think i'd agree that french bread is high fat actually, any more that toast, fruit bread, muffins (english bread muffins, not double choc cake ones) or paninis are. it's what you spread on these things that you have to be careful of fat-wise.
anyhow angie, you seem to have lots of ideas here, i hope you find something to suit you.
