Heart Palpitations
6 Answers
Does anybody experience these and are they anything to be worried about? I've had them (atleast I think that's what it is!?) on and off for 2 days now. It's like a constant awareness of my heartbeat and it flutters and thuds in my chest and my throat. Most uncomforting. Thanks. P.s. I'm only 25 and overall healthy.

For me it sometimes feels as if my heart is missing a beat. try to ignore it and it will go away in afew days.
supposed to be normal in young (under 40,according to my doc) people, I had one whilst at gym with a chest strap on and reading went over the top. went to hospital and they sorted me with a 24 hour tape which does as it says on the tin. They then examined the tape and confirmed that my heart was entirely normal. This would suggest to me that sometimes with those sympoms it may not be, so best to visit your doc and get the ok off him. (Apparently the fluttering is your hearts own pace maker becoming momentarily confused so it doubles the rate and then drops it until it finds a healthy balance.)
