For my own peace of mind I drive into London drop off the clubbers around 9 and return about 1 to collect them.....****** often! I wouldn't expect or trust the council to care for my girls.

The Council are not actually looking after them, they want volunteers they say, '' to work non-judgmentally with patience
and tolerance and with the desire to communicate and deal with vulnerable members of the public,�

I cant see many volunteers applying!

It is a good idea.It will free up ambulance services for genuinely ill people,the drunks and drugged up can just sleep it off in safety on the bus.

The Homeless drop-in center I work in lets the local police use our premises for a similar project on the weekends. I for one would have no problem with it as it serves as damage limitation..getting those who are so far gone off the street before they cause more damage to either themselves or to others. The only problem we have is with the Police using our food!!
