we use LPG on a few vehicles and to be honest its impossible to tell the difference between petrol & LPG on performance.
Do you notice the difference when switching between the 2 ? if so you have a problem...
As regards the miles per tank it probably is about right , the tanks are generally smaller as they are fitted in what ever available space they can find usually substituting the spare wheel

To be honest i use LPG all the time ( I only get 9p a mile) i know its starts with petrol and so there is always some in the tank. My job takes me all over the country and filling up mid trip is a bit annoying especially as it will usually be at a services.
Do you find it much cheaper than petrol?
certainly works out cheaper on our vehicles, needs to seeing as the kits were over 2,300+
The MPG is slighty less but as LPG is half the price we in effect have nearly double the MPG to petrol.
I think im also correct in saying theres no congestion charge on LPG vehicles.
