My question is: If you hold a Full UK Provisional Driving Liscence, are 17, and have somebody in the car with you (with so many years driving experience) are you allowed to drive that car (maybe with "L" plates on)?
As long as the other person is over 21 and has had a full driving licence for min of 3 years and assuming that you are insured to drive that particular car, then yes.
The person in the passenger seat must be at least 21yrs old and have held a FULL UK licence for over 4yrs. You are then entitled to drive that car under his/her tuition providing that the vehicle is INSURED for you as a provisional driving licence holder to drive it.
If YOU are not insured to drive the vehicle then you are not entitled to drive it or any other vehicle.
PeelerPal, it's three years that the person in the passenger seat has to have held a full license for.... (the 4 years is to get recognised as a ADI approved instructor)
just to clarify for you guesswho, it is impossible to hold a FULL uk Provisional licence, you can hold a FULL UK Licence or a uk provisional drivers licence!!
