Dogs eat cat poo!

I have a problem with cats coming in to my garden when no-one is around and leaving nasty little gifts for my puppy to eat. What can I do to put them off doing their business in my garden without putting my dog off doing his? Or even better, how can I stop them from wanting to come in all together?

Puppies eat all.....just recycling. Dont let pup lick you. Cats have freedom to roam......shoot with water pistol.

What type of dog is he? because as he gets older and bigger he will decide who comes onto HIS patch and I doubt it will be a cat. As for cats having the freedom to roam they don't roam my property at all, Max my GSD has very definite ideas about that.
