"Medical studies have proven that Quorn's fungal ingredient is an allergen, but the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the United Kingdom's Food Standards Agency still allow its sale. "
They still allow the sale of peanuts too and people die from nut allergies. Lets close all the florists in case someone sneezes. Quorn has never affected anybody I know.
I've been eating quorn for years (i'm actually cooking some now!!) and have never been ill from it, or from peanuts or wheat or anything....I think if you think too much about what you might be allergic to, you stop enjoying food and start having all these (b******t) allergies!!!!!!!! That silly website is a typical example of chronic U.S food paranoia. I'm sorry but, "Victims of Quorn Poisoning"..... that's childish and ridiculous! And the 'medical evidence'... that's just about the biggest load of unresearched rubbish i've ever read.
