Blood Pressure Medication

I take antenalol20mg and Ramapril 1.5 mg every morning but my BP is above the hihg level 160/97and then it goes down by late afternoon. 138/80Should I take one pill in the morning and the other in the evening to keep the Bp steady
Any info on this I would appreciate

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.browndmb.....one of the common "oddities" about BP is that it is often high in the morning and then comes back to normal for the rest of the day. I am assuming that you feel well in the morning.
If you go to your doctor to have it checked and your appointment is for the morning, it is often raised and BP tablets are given unnecessarily.
In my opinion I would continue your present regime, providing of course that you feel well in the mornings.
There is an ABer called "the Prof" whose wife is a cardiologist, so perhaps an input from her might be valuable.

Me again--Felt awful yesterday so back to the doc and he said stop the ramapril and double the atenalol so now up to 50mg BP this am 154/96 so still a bit high but think the ramapril was the one making me feel bad so will give this a go Doc wants me back middle of Jan.
