Parking Tickets!!!!
Last week I was issued with a parking ticket, I was 7 minutes late but the Traffic Warden filled the ticket out stating that I had a Winnebago when in actual fact I own a Vauxhall Astra. Can I appeal against this?

The fact that the warden has made a mistake is not in itself particularly serious. If the ticket is not paid or excused, the case goes to court. The ticket will be irrelevant and the court will not be told that it existed. This is to be fair to the driver so the case is heard the same as any other parking offence where a ticket had not been issued.
On a side note, someone I knew got caught speeding, got all the details and the photo and appealed. When they went into the court/appeal room they were asked upon what basis they wished to appeal.
They said that the photo shows that his car was being towed by an AA van at the time. They were let off!
I would say you should appeal. I got a parking ticket when the rear wheel of my vehicle was outside of a marked pay and display bay. I was displaying a ticket.
The ticket stated that I was parked on a road that has no parking allowed. I queried it on the basis of that if there was no parking allowed on the street, why was there a bay with a pay machine there.
The warden obviously pressed the wrong button and should have pressed the parking outside of a bay button, but didnt.
That was in December and they still havent replied to my letter yet!!!!
