Airline tickets

Can i purchase a air ticket for a route like Amsterdam to New York in the UK?. Or will I have to buy the UK to Amsterdam sector as well (i dont want to). Any travel agents out there who know of a way.

It is quite easy unless things have changed recently.  When I used to sell them in London 40 years ago, I would have been quite happy to sell you a ticket from Christmas Creek to Panamatanga if you asked for it.

You can't usually do this online tho as the credit card used usually has to be an address in the country you are leaving from.  However over the phone or at a travelo agent should be no problem.

Incidentally, when we sold a ticket in those days, we sent a postcard to the airline to report the sale.  The airlines worked on the expectation that a percentage of travellers would not show up for the flight.
