I know its a blood clotting disorder, but I haven't heard of type 1 and type 2. The effect it will have on your life depends on how much clotting factor you have. If you have, say 80% clotting factor it will not affect you much, but if you only have say 20%, then you will need to have injections of clotting factor before a tooth extraction for example. It is passed from parent to child, so one of your parents must have had it, and that is why your children should be tested. Actually, I haven't seen your previous posts, just noticed this one as Von Willebrands is in my family. I think you should ask about aspirin as well as the ibuproen.
