Thats what i thought, the person im asking on behalf of said she had asked the min age and was told it was 18 so whether she misunderstood the answer or was given misinformation i dont know, ill tell her to apply anyway
I don't wear any shoes at all if I can help it. (sorry DC-FC)
you need to look at a site about children in employment, I think if the person is still at school you can only do so many hours per week anyway.
school leaving age is still 16, but my son (who is 13 now, just going in to year 9) is in the first school year that have to stay on til they're 18, unless they have college, an apprenticeship or a job lined up.
anyway, the original question.. 16 but I've seen other posts saying you can't handle money until your 18. not sure if that's true.
Some places do ask for a minimum age of 18, the cinema near me for example because they have a bar which serves alcoholic drinks. Maybe Boots ask for people to be 18 because of the pharmacy?
