De-frizzing Products

I have absolutely ruined my hair by straightening it every day for god knows how long so I need to try and cut down on using the GHD's but if I leave my hair to dry naturally it goes wavy (not in a nice way) and quite frizzy. Does anyone know of any decent products I could put in my hair after washing that would help control the frizz if I don't blow-dry it?

Your hair sounds exactly like mine. I have tried dozens of products to tame it and none have worked. The only solution I can come up with is to have it all cut off, which is why I am booking a hairdresser's appointment today.

I find products make it go greasy. The best thing I do...if you have time, twist it and put it in a butterfly clip and let it dry. Seems to get rid of most of the frizz...

I just put mine in a clip or a pony tail and if it's really bad hair spray some of the frizzy bits back... If it's hideous I'd buy a hat. I absolutley can not be bothered to pretty up my hair everyday by straigthening or curling it... Frankly, I find combing it a bit of a chore ;0)

At least the butterfly clips don't leave the kinks in your hair like hairbands...

Are butterfly clips those long ones you get that have teeth and you just open them and stick in your hair? I need to get anotehr one of those... My hair's still not long enough for a big one though :-/

Yes. I just twist my hair and clip it when it's damp. It's surprisingly un frizzy when it dries.

Yeah, I used to do that when mine was long, it always gave it a nice kink which I liked and it makes the shampoo smell stay longer so it smells nice when you unclip it.

<Sigh> I'm only just touching shoulder lenth at my longist bits at the moment.

Actually do what you like... I'm still smarting from my monstrous haircut over the summer. That'll teach me not to go to my normal hairdresser.

I couldn't bring myself to cut it all off. I made the mistake of going to Toni anf Guy two years ago for a trim and the stupid woman gave me a bloody mullet! It's taken two years for it to grow out (just about) and every hairdresser I have seen since has nearly collapsed with shock at the state of the cut.

Doesn't it take a long time to dry when it's clipped back? What about the bits at the front of your hairline? I have a sweeping fringe which I wouldn't get back intot the clip and would dry all fluffy.

Maybe there is just no pleasing me! :o)

Like 237 I use John Frieda and highly recommend it...........I apply it, comb it through, then put my hair up in a twist.
