It's my son's birthday tomorrow (he's 7) so he gets to choose what we have for tea. He has chosen noodles but he won't eat Chinese food (which is what we usually have with noodles) so any ideas what the kids could have with their noodles? Thanks

Grilled chicken, shredded - we'd add spicy sauce later for those who like it.
chicken kebab skewers?
meatballs and tomato sauce
Soups & noodles; add tofu for extra nutrition.
He chooses noodles but won't eat Chinese? I'd give him a plate of plain, boiled noodles. That'll teach him.
Seriously, chicken with vegetables and noodles doesn't have to be Chinese -serve with a bar-b-q sauce or spicy tomato sauce etc.

Hi gingejbee - he'd eat them just with ketchup if I'd let him.
awww you cant be harsh on his birthday ginge!!
Very true cazzz, but the day after....... Wonder why, if he likes noodles, he doesn't like Chinese?

Cause he's six (nearly seven). He loves tomato ketchup (with everything) but won't eat tomatoes. He likes sweets but won't eat icing, he loves cheese but won't eat cheese sauce, etc. Finding a meal that they all will actually eat is a nightmare (and even then, I usually eat something different as I am so fussy).
he will grow out of it, in 10 years he will be inhaling the fridge and cupboards of food
I'd say meat balls you buy made and rolled already fresh ones or ones you make (can never be bothered myself), fry them and then add can of tomatoes or jar of tomato pasta source. If you know for sure he wont eat that sauce you have extra sauce, leave his serving dry and squeeze some ketchup on as his sauce?
son loves noodles,he puts grated cheese on his, chilli sauce
smoked sausage cut into pieces, with bolognese sauce
you can also use honey roast ham cut into strip's
crispy bacon bits
try all differant sauces i'm sure he will like some of my suggestions
