OH's mate is getting married. His mate used to live here years back...so did his brother (best mate) On our last night out the Brother mentioned that we might be only getting an evening invite to the wedding. Fair enough....we rarely see him now and weddings are expensive.

Anyway, invitation, or should I say two invitations, came through today. One for him for the day do, including hotel...and one for me for the evening do.

What do you think? Is it just bad etiquette?

Sort me one out Fluff :-)

I would happily go to the evening do, as would he, but I'm not going out to meet up with my 'long term' partner at the evening do. I would look a pleb....I've never known it happen before.
but your are a pleb, (I'm decorating a dress with tinsel for you now)
Ultimately, it's how your OH deals with it that defines it.
If your OH wants to be there, then I would agree to go together to the Evening do, but not to him going alone in the day!..............

Nazzy....explain.
If he goes on his own, it says more about him than the person that sent it.
naz is right in a way, but the person who sent it was stirring!...........hope your OH can see this!..................

Get ya....I can't see it happening tbh. But I don't want to feel bad about that. I also don't want to make him feel bad. The chances of him going are pretty slim...
