laryngitis

i have had laryngitis for a over week now

and am still struggling to speak

is this common

i have been taking penicillin (prescribed by my dr) for the last 6 or 7 days

with very little effect

Perfectly normal.

If you have to speak then try to speak in a normal voice....don't whisper.

Menthol and Eucalyptus inhalations may also help.

can't comment on the medical side but hope you get better soon - I've just had an op and the good wishes from AB were a shot in the arm (excuse the pun) - so best wishes for a speedy recovery
