Afternoon!
I'm off on a big bike ride this weekend to make up for the terrible sins of:
1. Takeaway pizza
2. Pub burger
3. Beer
Anyone else repenting this weekend? It's been hard to get out in this muggy weather...

hello! I've read through this thread and you lot really have inspired me. I have decided that now is the time for change and I have a lot of weight to lose :(
I have a slimming world and a weight watchers that meet once a week around the corner. Is one any better than the other? Or do it myself online?
They seem a bit expensive, but the fact that it's costing me may help me to stick at it!

Welcome to our friendly little club chrisgal and congratulations on your life changing decision. We have people going to both WW and other places so I hope they will give you the info that you want. We stand for no diets, just good common sense eating...low fat, small portions, snacking only if you have to and then on a carrot, cucumber slices etc. and exercising to match your age and capabilities. As Wendilla says.....cut out the fat and all the crap. Our motto is Onwards and downwards
How many calories in a lavender air spray ? Does the nozzle not get stuck between your teeth ?
I'll leave the SW / WW comparisons to those who have tried both. I used to go to WW but I suspect it is all much of a muchness. The group membership helps keep you focused more than anything. Less easy to suddenly opt out since you have made a commitment. I suspect online, whilst do-able, does lose you the part-of-the-group feeling. I suppose it depends on how self motivating you are.

Hi Kate you seem to be well into your soup making and some of those really look appetising and will try them out in the cooler weather.
CRISGAL welcome to our group I never know what to say about WW or slimming clubs. They work well for some but I believe if you eat the right healthy foods it can be done without the expense of clubs. I have proved that for myself. These clubs what suits one don't always suit everyone.
JULES please don't say JUST 1/4 LB. that is better than going the other way
Yes Oldgeezer the group session can help some I will agree on that but it still can be done on your own.
