KINGSPAN INSULATION

Have any A.B'ers used Kingspan insulation panels, and if so, could you advise me whether they can be fixed using a nail gun, also whether the "Wickes" polystyrene sheets are as good as the kingspan? I have an area of 9 feet high by 18 feet 6 inches long, to cover with the sheets but they come in millimetres, so I am bamboozled so any help will be appreciated.
The sheets come in 2400mm x 1200mm or 2400 x 450mm so would be grateful if you could give me an idea how many panels I will require.

Any wall separating a garage from a habitable room *should* already be an insulated cavity wall.

Is this not the case?

Polystyrene (it doesn't matter whose make) is less than one half of the insulation level of phenolic / polyurethane type foams (of which Kingspan and Celotex are the most commonly available products - both are equally value) for the same thickness of material.
Kingspan is often sandwiched between stud type wood partitions, that are attached to the outer wall. This then allows you to attach plasterboard over the inside face between the studs.
Nail gun is overkill; if you are leaving the Kingspan exposed then NoNails (or similar) would probably work. Between studs they need no fixing at all - they squash in.
But Jack's question is valid, because the application will depend on whether you wish to cover the material.

Kingspan or Celotex has much better UV loss figures than polysytrene .. and is safer in a garage because of it's improved fire rating.

If you want to cover it .. use ply sheets or wallboarding .. probably best for garage.

Thanks for everybody's help regarding this matter, the building is a self build type so is mainly a wooden framed construction.
