Ibuprofen .....
5 Answers
I am currently prescribed 600mg of Ibuprofen for shoulder pain. (I have got Impringement syndrome and waiting for an operation)
Please could some one tell me if these painkillers cause high blood pressure? Only mine is up slightly and I'm just trying to find out why!! Got to go back to the Dr 2moro for it to be checked again!
I have been taking these painkillers for approx 18mths but only when I cant stand the pain any longer!
Thanks :-)

It warns not to take them if you have ever suffered from High BP, it says to stop taking them if you experience "high or low BP or fluid retention eg swollen ankles". So, I infer from this that yes, it COULD be something to do with the Ibuprofen as it's one side-effect - but as you are seeing the doc tomorrow, don't forget to mention this.
Sqad will have a better answer, I'm just reading the current info leaflet which came with mine!

Theoretically........yes.
However, any symptom sends the participant steaming to the instruction packet and low and behold, bet your bottom dollar that symptom will be snuggly positioned in that list.
My advice...if you need the pain relief and ibuprofen relives it.......then continue.
Monitor the situation of the BP for a couple of months.
