Can't really argue nayasiw as I've not tried the others but those at Amble take some beating and over the years I've sampled a lot of chips at a lot of places

I was only messing paddywack - I've never tasted the ones at Amble. I believe you and yes, I've had some lovely chips in places, and some horrid ones too !!

You're right with that nayaiw for years when ever we'd been fishing to Brid we used the Busy Bee chippie at the top of the Harbour but they've started using frozen chips and to put it politely while the fish are still good the chips are Fluffing revolting

I think frozen oven chips should be banned from cafes and restaurants and they should make their own - maybe I'll start a petition !

A few months ago we bought a new deep fat fryer & we put frozen oven chips in & I kid you not they are the tastiest chips we have ever had. Give it a whirl you'll be surprised.
