hip trouble...

Recently my hip has been a source of pain and insomnia. The doctor says that the scan is similar to last year's and has advised some painkillers.

The painkillers do work but I still wake up during the night. The only painfree position is if I stay on one leg and rest the other on a chair....driving has become uncomfortable.

I am due to fly in 3 weeks time and dread the 2 1/2 hour flight.

Is there any exercise that could help me ?( swimming is out as I never mastered my phobia of water.....eons ago my parents paid an instructor to teach me. He put a belt around my waist, pushed me in an open-air, very cold pond and told me to swim....needless to say I never went back )

at the moment I walk my dogs 3 times a day ..(total time between 1 1/2 to 2 hours.)..but that is the only excercise I do.....

any one else in the same predicament ?

Yes I am in the same predicament Lily and can empathise. If I were you I would get yourself an appointment with a good osteopath or physiotherapist. They really can help. They will need to know your scan details.
