I have tried without luck to buy some mutton locally.can anyone recommend a good on line/ mail order butcher who will supply me

Try a halal butcher or Caribbean food shop if you have any in your area.

I didn't think they sold mutton now. I used to like breast of mutton, as opposed to breast of lamb. It was much leaner and more meat on and in all probability, less money. I thought they only sold lamb and the more mature meat (and probably tougher) was put into dog and cat food. Hope I am mistaken. I shall check this out. Mouth watering already.

We regularily buy mutton from there - bought some mutton chops last saturday -very nice :-)
