our birds have a good supply of nuts, seed, fatballs hanging on a long pole in the back garden!
I'm sitting here wondering what type of bird table would be ok.
Hubbie is considering knocking one up himself -- Good idea?

I had to build screens in to keep out large birds scoffing the lot. If you leave plenty of spaces they will get a share anyway

I like the metal post types with hangers for feeders a mesh seed tray and water dish when I had a garden we had one of these, a traditional bird table, a smaller metal one with a centre seed dish, 17 other hanging feeders, a large seed feeder on another pole, and a ground feeder station... we also put seed on the lawn and dried dogfood for the crows and magpies add three birdbaths/water dishes at different points had great views of lots of birds... cost a bl00dy fortune to keep them all filed though

Thanks again every one. the birds do cost quite a bit but worth every penny! We have a contiasta , a very large bush that we call the our sparrow bush. Nuts are hanging right next to it for the birds to get a quick getaway when threatened. They sleep in there at night, and we can hear all the sqawking going on with them chattering away. So a bird table either hanging from the bush, or right nearby will be brilliant.
have a good day everyone x pusskins
