I sleep with the computer on if I fall asleep on the sofa (which I often do) - but I always log out and turn it off before I go to bed.

I shut mine down and switch off at the wall every evening.

Waste of electric to leave it one, plus it gets its updates more regularly with a shutdown.

Always log off and shut down before I go to bed. If I turn it on during the day I'll put the laptop into sleep mode when I'm busy, or nodding off.
