Good Morning all!
Wooo Hooooo......Just to let you all know I had a phone call from the hospital yesterday evening [almost bought on a heart attack]! The gynaecologist thought she would ring me rather than making me wait till next week as she had seen how upset I was, to tell me that hopefully they won't need to see me for 6 months!
They still believe that they got it all and any stray cells will have been zapped by the cauterisation! The final decision lays with the histologist next week [may need a further colcoscopy] but she wanted to let me know the good news rather than waiting till the 13th.
I d love to be able to say I am over the moon but there is something about being told you have cancer, curable or not, that messes deeply with your mind. But hey, what a kick up the bum!
I am now in the process of addressing other issues on my life.....and 2012 is going to be my year!
One step at a time I am going to be a new woman [girl ;0)]

ps...the chest pains are easing off aside from one shoulder but this is an old war injury [I type for 6-8 hours a day] and I'm booking to see a Alexander Technique consultant today.
There is some great news in your thread and I am delighted for you. Don't lose the positive feeling - it will help you enormously. Have a great weekend and 2012 - you deserve it. Viv ♥
excellent. any issues, tho - get straight on them. even if it's your mind that needs settling....it's your life, your health and you are allowed to be in control of it all. you sound in a much better place and will continue to build confidence and happiness by pursuing your own dreams and goals actively - instead of as a secondary thing after work, family and the rubbish that life throws at you generally. happy 2012, lisa....here's to [the new] you! regards, lisa x
Definitely sunny dave, everyone from top to bottom[pun intended] has been amazing, though, and look away now if you're squeamish, the practice nurse that couldn't find my cervix was a bit of a worry lol, I mean I know they took a lot of it a way, but I mean!!!!
It's all still baby step for now, but, yes....onward and upward, might even treat myself to a holiday!
Most definitely Flump, my best friend went for her overdue smear yesterday and the nurse said it's amazing how many women turn up when a mate has a abnormal result.
My advice.....don't leave it that long....just have it done when you're called!
Great news, I'm really pleased for you :) I made sure mine was up to date recently after one friend was diagnosed and another friend had an abnormal result - it wasn't overdue but made sure I got it done. Definitely concentrates your mind.
