What do you eat/drink it with?
I have been brought up to use a soup spoon, and it seems so right. My OH and others I know use a desert spoon. Not right, is it?

Tigger, the main course knife and fork are the biggest, starter or dessert knives/forks are smaller
IMO, the only soup worth eating / drinking is Heinz tomato, out of a mug on a cold winters day.
It's very personal, thought, isn't it, micmak - the one soup I don't like is tomato, avoid it like the plague - it's like the Marmite argument.

Please no Heinz, DIY is the best
Never have soup. Now stew - that is really good and it doesn't matter what you use to eat it.
Boxy, I can remember my mother threatening my father with a steak knife when he bought half a dozen for her Christmas present.
Soups spoons are good but I'll just as often use a dessert spoon.

I would love a couple of butter knives though. I had two but over the years they have both lost thier handles. Can't find new ones anywhere.
Chicken and Asparagas Soup from Morrisons is OK, I don't like brown soups.
Understand Boxy. Can't stand Marmite.

Anna, DIY maybe best. Would you like to come round and make it?
AYG Have you tried adding crispy bacon bits and prawns to leek and potato soup? Scrummy.
I always feel 'souped up' after I had soup!
Have none of you lot got anything better to discuss than cutlery.
Probably have curvy but its getting late so what the heck!
Have you got nothing better to do than read it? I know I havn't.....
Maidup, got half a dozen butter knives at a car boot sale for next to nothing. Worth a try?
Daisy that sounds lovely for a change. ta.

I see nothing wrong with a harmless discussion, no matter what the content.
Silly really, I've been looking out in charity shops as well as high street for butter knife and only just thought to look online.

Just got a lovely traditional one
