Moving Snowdrops

I have Snowdrops in my front garden that I want to move to the back garden, when is the best time to do this?

After they have flowered and died back.

After the leaves have died back. Whilst the leaves are still there they are building up the bulbs for next year.

Snowdrops are one of the exceptions to the die back rule... they do not form clumps and spead if moved in a state of dormancy and they often flower once then disappear
