Microgynon and Weight

Does anyone have any experience of the above contraceptive? If it is no longer used is there an impact on weight loss or gain?? I am reading instances of both while searching on line - but wondered what personal experience anyone out there had please?

I used this pill when I fist used contraception aged 18
It caused me a huge weight gain of well over a stone in weight (I was quite tiny then, a size 10) in just over a month, then another 1/2 stone over the next month. When I went back for the check up to see if it suited me, I was weighed etc and told to look at my food intake! Nothing to do with the fact I had just started taking this pill and my food intake hadn't increased at all. Aged 18 I wasn't assertive enough to argue but I base a lot of my weight problems then on adding that fake hormone to my body
After I had my eldest I refused to use it again, went back to a size 10 within 6 weeks of her being born

My large bottomedness now is age, food and lack of exercise

Thanks ojread2 .... I am thinking of knocking it on the head to be honest .... after using it for a very very long time! And would love the impact to be some weight loss!!

Ive been on this contraception for about 5 years and havent experienced any weight gain or loss, ive started the same throughtout, ive had no problems at all with it.

All those years ago there definitely was as issue with weight gain, not just with Microgynon, but others too. In fact Microgynon was wdiely known to cause weight gain.
It's had a slight name change now and claims to not cause weight gain. I've not taken the pill since my mid 20's

Ive been on this for 10years on & off with no side effects whatsoever x
