What is the best method for cooking corn on the cob. I've tried several methods but it dosen't taste as nice as when I've eaten it in a restaurant.

I don't make ice-cream using custard base....I just use milk, sugar, and cornflour. But yes, just make your custard mix and add a bit of wasabi. xx

I could just get a tin of green giant sweetcorn and be done with it but I love it on the cob. Mr. Cupid isn't so keen, because it gets stuck between his teeth,lol!. I tell him he can always brush his teeth afterwards.
Give him a pot of toothpicks when he is eating it lol. Nothing beats corn on the cob!
There is only one way to cook a mealie cob , grilled over charcoal, I spent 3 years in Zambia and often had one for lunch.

As Eddie's reply...barbequed gently then drizzled with lime and chilli butter
ten minutes in boiling water is far too long. Two minutes - ample. You only want to get the stuff hot - any more cooking will make it tough. No wonder it gets stuck in your teeth if you cook it for so long.
I was taught that by a woman who grew the stuff.
