ebook readers

I know there are lots of ebook readers around now, I have noticed that these ebooks contain no illustrations or pictures, just text.

is it possible to download a complete book (complete with pictures) rather than a text only book?

not sure how you'd go with an entirely picture book...files may be too huge...but certainly you can have some

I downloaded a historical book which had some pictures, there were not a huge amount but I was disappointed to find that the ebook only had text

My Sony displays pictures, but only in greyscale.

so hc was it visible...... anybody know what a pic looks like on a kindle....?

Yes, in greyscale. No colour because it only uses e-ink, which means the battery lasts for weeks between charges.

ahh so its a memory thing, I would imagine this explains why a lot of the kindle books are text only
